Сейчас сложно сказать, что же всё-таки произошло на борту Ан-24, летевшего вчера рейсом Ставрополь-Трабзон. Специалисты отрабатывают несколько версий, но единого мнения пока нет. Найболее вероятным считается, что катастрофа произошла из-за сильного износа лайнера. |

Right now it's difficult to say exactly what happened on board the An-24 that was flying from Stavropol to Trabzon yesterday. Experts are working on several theories, but haven't agreed on anything yet. The most probable theory is that the plane crash occurred because the aircraft had seriously exceeded its life expectancy. |

Ан-24 пролетал 35 лет и подлежал списанию ещё в 94-ом. Самолётов этого класса давно выработавших свой ресурс сегодня в России 80 процентов. Но все они продолжают летать. |

The An-24 had flown for 35 years and had been slated for decomission back in '94. In Russia today, 80 percent of this class of aircraft exceeded their recommended service life a long time ago. But they all continue to fly. |

Специалисты не исключают и версии взрыва на борту лайнера. Такое мнение складывается с пок азанием очевидцев трагедии, жителей посёлка При горный, над которым всё и произошло. По словам некоторых из них, они выбежали из дома, услышав мощный грохот, напоминающий взрыв, и увидели падающий самолёт без хвостовой части. По их словам, звук удара самолёта о землю был слабее, чем взрыв в воздухе. |

Experts have not ruled out the possibility that there was an explosion on board the aircraft. This possibility is supported by witnesses of the tragedy, the residents of the small settlement of Prigornyj, where all this happened. According to several witnesses, they ran out of their homes after they heard a loud crash that sounded like an explosion, and they saw an airplane with a missing tail section that was falling. According to them, the sound of the plane striking the ground was weaker than the explosion in the air. |

И наконец не исключается третья версия -- возгорание в хвостовой части самолёта, приведшее потом к его разрушению. Никто сегодня не берётся не подтвердить, не опровергнуть ни одной из версий. Окончательный вывод будет делан только после расшифровки двух обнаруженных чёрных ящиков и следования частей упавшего самолёта. |

And finally, they have not ruled out a third possibility -- that there was a flash fire in the tail section of the plane which led to its destruction. And today no one is willing to confirm or deny any of these theories. A definitive conclusion will only be made after they have deciphered the two black boxes and they have examined sections of the fallen aircraft. |

Между тем сегодня продолжалось опознание погибших. Всего опознано 12 человек из 50, установлены адреса их родственников. Сегодня в Карачаево-Черкесии был траур. Завтра он объявлен в Ставропольском краю. |

Meanwhile, identification of victims is continuing today. In all, 12 of the 50 bodies have been identified and the addresses of their relatives established. Today there was a day of mourning in Karachaevo- Cherkesiya. Тomorrow there will be a day of mourning in the Stavropol Krai. |
