Сегодня в ассортименте Магнитки более 2.000 наименований. Но это отнюдь не только традиционные слитки чугуна, стальной лист, и всевозможные профили проката. За годы вхождения в рынок, здесь наладили производство, отвечающее к самым взыскательным требованиям товаров народного потребления. Это и мебельные гарнитуры и эмалированная посуда.

Today, Magnitka's inventory consists of over 2,000 products. But it's by no means limited to traditional ingots of pig iron, sheet metal, and all sorts of rolled metal jigs. In the years since its entry into the free market, they've adjusted production to meet the most exacting standards of consumer goods. These include both furniture and enamelware.

А в последнее время, Магнитка сталa и поставщиком высококачественных продуктов питания. На комбинате действует крупнaя мясоперерабатывающая компания, оснащённая oборудованием ведущих зарубежных фирм. А деликатесы поступают и в рабочие столовые и в магазины городa.

Recently, Magnitka has also become a supplier of high-quality food products. In the association, there is a large meat-processing company equipped with the latest foreign technology. The delicacies are sent to both cafeterias for workers and city stores.

А недавно пущена фабрика хлебобулочных и кондитерских изделий. Оборудование для неё металлурги приобрели во Франции. Особенность технологической линии такова, что здесь можно выпекать до 100 наименований хлебобулочных изделий.

A factory for baked and confectionary goods recently started up. Metallurgists acquired the equipment for it in France. The unique feature of this technology is that up to 100 kinds of baked goods can be produced here.

Правда, неожиданно столкнулись с проблемой. Каждый новый сорт хлеба нуждается в особой форме для выпечки. Хотели было искать валюту для закупки форм за границей, но на помощь пришли работники предприятия Эмаль. Оно входит в состав комбината. Так вот, оперативно разравотали технологию и наладили выпуск форм c тефлоновым покрытием. Как раз то, что надо.

It's true that they've unexpectedly run into a problem. Each new kind of bread requires its own special mold for baking. They were about to start looking into obtaining hard currency in order to purchase the molds abroad, but workers at Emal came to the rescue. The firm is a part of the association. And so they worked out a technological strategy and adjusted for the production of teflon-coated molds. This is exactly what they needed.
