Обычно на Кубане к уборке преступали позже, примерно на 70 дней. Но сильная жара ускорила созревание хлебов, и вот он -- первый хлеб России. А зимиий чмень -- а его площади в этом году в крае даже увеличели -- практически убран. В южных районах комбайны входят в пшеничные массивы. Одновременно началась приёмка хлеба нового уражая. Часть зерна, которая созревает на полях, продана ещё зимой и весной в региональный фонд по тем ещё ценам.

Usually the harvest begins later on the Kuban, about 70 days later. But an intense heat-wave has caused the wheat to ripen early. And here it is, Russia's first wheat. And winter barley, the growing area for which was increased this year in the region, has been practically cleared from the fields. In southern regions, the combines are entering the wheat fields. At the same time, acceptance of the newly-harvested grain has begun. A part of the grain that is ripening in the fields was already sold in winter and spring to the local reserve at the then existing prices.
