Депутаты правительства стараются повысить пособия, но денег в казне не хватает. И всё же теперь появилась возможность заранее позаботиться о своей старости. В России активно начинают работать негосударственные пенсионные фонды.

Private pension plans are becoming popular in Russia.

Правда, заключить договоры на дополнительное пенсионное обеспечивание, пока могут лишь предприятия крепко стоящие на ногах. Таких в стране ещё немного. Например, клиентами одного из самых крупных фондов, Интерос Достоинства, стали Аэрофлот, производственное объединение ГПЗ-1, и некоторые другие фирмы. Теперь их работники обладают именными счётами, средства на котоpые вносятся целевым назначением. Размеры пенсий будут зависеть только от величины взносов.

To be sure, presently only those enterprises that are firmly established can set up supplementary pension plans. There are few such companies in our country. Правительство поддерживает развитие системы негосударственного пенсионного обеспечивания. А в Думе готовится законопроект о деятельности фондов.
