Московская швейная фабрика Большевичка и сегодня не имеет проблем с выплатой заработной платы, причём сравнительно большой: средняя зарплата швеймoтoристов 1.200.000. Между тем это предприятие уже четвёртую неделю стоит, а зарплата, как и положено, выплачивается 7-ого и 20-ого числа. |

Today the Moscow garment factory Bolshevichka is not having problems paying salaries, moreover relatively large salaries. The average salary of garment workers is 1,200,000. Meanwhile this enterprise has been idle for four weeks, but salaries, as per agreement, arе being paid on the 7th and the 20th of each month. |

Ничего странного в этом нет. Финансовое положение фабрики и неспособность отечественного рынка поглотить всю произведённую продукцию спровоцировали этот оплаченый отпуск. Задел накапливался специально, чтобы выйти на британский рынок. Для этого бывший флагман социализма 49 процентов своих акций продал акулам капитализма -- то есть, англиской фирме -- за обещaнные инвестиции: три миллиона долларов в развитии и ещё два с половиной в торговые марки, под которыми наши костюмы смогут продаваться на их рынке. |

There's nothing strange in this. The financial situation of the factory and the inability of the domestic market to swallow the entire inventory brought about this paid vacation. This surplus had been intentionally accumulated in order to enter the British market. Toward this end, the former flagship of communism sold 49 percent of its stock to the sharks of capitalism, that is, to an English firm for pledged investments totaling three million dollars in development and an additional two and a half million for the brandnames under which our suits will be sold in their market. |

Однако респектабельный англичанин с инвестициями спешить не стал. По некоторым данным он сначала собирается переизбрать совет директоров и поставить своих людей, тем самим получив полный контроль над предприятием. Понятно, что это чрезвычайно взволновало нынешнее руководство. |

However, the respected Englishman did not hurry to invest. According to some sources, he first intends to re-elect the Board of Directors and put his own people in power, thus getting full control over the enterprise. It's understandable that this upsets the present management considerably. |

"We want arbitration to work out this issue, to decide if we have a basis to demand a reevaluation of these deals both from the point of view of government policies, which are being carried out, and from the point of view of the social masses involved, this issue cannot be ignored." |

Капитализация по-русски -- это когда вместо прибыли начинают считать национальные интересы. В этом нет иронии. Социальная терпимость и экономическая целесообразность -- явления зачастую антагонистические. Фабрика Большевичка имеет глубокие традиции выпускать абсолютно конкурентоспособную продукцию. |

The Russian version of capitalization is to consider national interests instead of profits. No irony is intended in this. Social tolerance and economic expediency are often diametrically opposed phenomenon. The Bolshevichka factory has a long-standing tradition of producing prize-winning products.

Однако пробиться с ней на западный рынок самостоятельно невозможно, и платя за такую протекцию, мы готовы на самые опрометчивые шаги. А как известно, дешёвый сыр только в мышеловке. Кто прав в этом конфликте решит арбитраж. А во свяком случае генеральный директор, обжёгшись, теперь -- советует начинающим бизнесменам: |

However, it is impossible to break into the western market on our own, and in paying for such sponsorship, we are ready to take most rash steps. And as you know, you get what you pay for. Arbitration will decide who is right in this conflict. At any rate, the CEO, having been tried by fire, is now advising businessmen who are starting out:
