Через несколько месяцев по 10-ке станут устанавливать специально разработанные мощные 16-клапанные двигатели, и тогда эта машина станет самой скоростной среди всех отечественных авто. |

Designers, engineers and workers are making what could be called the finishing touches. By the end of this year, they plan to manufacture about 16,000 of these cars. In several months, the Model 10 will have powerful, specially-designed 16-valve engines installed, and then this car will be the fastest domestically produced automobile. |

Для того, чтобы 10-ка появилась на свет, было израсходовано два миллиарда долларов. Но как считает президент и генеральный директор автобазы, Алексей Ник олаев, все затраты смогут окупиться уже в обозримом будущем. Установленная отпускная цена машины, почти 14.000 долларов, видимо окажется по карману богатым отечественным покупателям. Да, и на внешнем рынке ВАЗ 21-10 скорее всего тоже найдёт своих почитателей. |

Two billion dollars have been spent in order to put the Model 10 on the streets. But according to the plant's president and general director, Alexei Nikolaev, all expenditures can be used to cover costs in the foreseeable future. The manufacturer's suggested retail price for one of these cars is almost $14,000. Apparently, it seems that our country's richer customers can afford these cars. The VAZ 21-10 is even likely to find its admirers on the foreign market. |
