Горячая линия, так назвали в Генеральном штабе только созданную оперативную группу по связям с общественностью. Теперь в любое время суток по телефону 293-5592, родные и близкие могут получить информацию о военнослужащих, которые находятся в Чечне. Психологическая нагрузка на дежурных офицеров такова, что каждое 40 минут они подменяют друг друга. |

The hotline is what they call the newly created public affairs task force at General Staff Headquarters. Now, at any hour of the day or night, relatives and loved ones can call 293-5592 to receive information about servicemen stationed in Chechnya. The psychological stress on the duty officers is such that they relieve each other every 40 minutes. |

-- Действительно горячая линия. По другому назвать нельзя. Ни секунды, телефоны в простаивании не находятся, как вы видите. Ни секунды. Звонят отовсюду. Звонят с других городов. В основном, конечно, матери и родственники звонят. Но и есть, конечно, и из организаций. |

"This really is a hotline. It can't be called anything else. There isn't a second when the telephones are idle, as you can see. Not a second. They call from everywhere. They call from other cities. On the whole, of course, mothers and relatives call. But, of course, they call from organizations too." |

Ежедневно к семи утра в оперативную группу из Моздока, Главного военного медицинского управления, поступают сведения o всех погибших и раненых. |

Everyday by 7:00 a.m., the task force receives information from the Mozdok Chief Military Medical Directorate on all the dead and wounded. |

В случае необходимости дежурные тоже связываются с госпиталями, штабами воинских частей, и уточняют местонахождения конкретного солдата или офицера. А уже к 15 января, опергруппа будет располагать поимённым списком военнослужащих, частей, подразделений, участвующих в боевых операциях. |

If necessary, the duty officers also get in touch with hospitals and military unit headquarters to determine the whereabouts of a given soldier or officer. In addition, by January 15 , the task force will have access to a list of names of the soldiers, units, and subunits, participating in military operations. |
