И так в Чечне опять трагедия. В центре Грозного у Территориального управления федеральных органов исполнительной власти произошёл мощный взрыв. По различным источникам количество убитых от 10 до 18, 60 ранено. |

And there was yet another tragedy in Chechnya. A powerful explosion occurred at the Territorial Directorate of the Federation Executive Authority building in downtown Grozny. According to various sources, 10-18 people were killed and 60 wounded. |

Взрыв прогремел в разгар дня. Взорвалась начинённая тротилом лёгковая автомашина, запаркованная в наиболее людном месте у пятиэтажного каменного здания территориального управления, расположенного на перекрётске улиц Красных Фронтовиков и Чернышевского. |

The explosion was heard at the height of the day. A passenger car loaded with TNT blew up. It had been parked in the most crowded area of the city next to the Territorial Directorate, a five-story stone building located at the intersection of Krasnye Frontoviki and Chernyshevsky Streets. |

Практически вся центральная часть Грозного сразу же была оцеплена сотрудниками правоохранительных органов. Тяжёлая техника работает и посейчас у глубокой воронке, растаскивая покорёженные в результате взрыва автомобили, и расчищая место взрыва. Сапёры с собаками, натренировнными на поиск взрывчатки, прочёсывают окрестности. |

Almost the entire central section of Grozny was immediately cordoned off by law enforcement officials. Even as we speak, heavy equipment is working at the deep crater, removing cars that were mangled in the explosion and clearing the site. Sappers with dogs trained to search for explosives are combing the surrounding area. |

На площади рыдают родные и близкие погибщих и искалеченных взрывом. По разным оценкам, число убитых колеблется от 4 до 18. Назвать точную цифру затруднительно уже, потому что местные жители практически сразу же приступили к вывозке трупов чеченцев. По мусульманским законам, умершего надо похоронить в день его смерти до захода солнца. |

Relatives and close friends of those killed and maimed in the explosion are grieving in the square. According to different estimates, the death toll ranges from 4-18. The task of establishing an exact figure is also complicated by the fact that local residents almost immediately started removing Chechen corpses. According to Moslem law, the dead must be buried before sunset on the day they die. |
